Searching the best talent for: EHS&S TECHNICIAN II Main responsibilities: â€¢ Know & follow EES policies & procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility â€¢ Complete training in area of responsibility within allowed time period. Training is required for changes in existing policies & procedures, for new assignments & for implementation of new policies & procedures. Complete required periodic re-training in areas such of EHS&S&S. â€¢ Assist with EHS&S Incident Investigations. â€¢ Assist with technical support for EHS&S&S.EHS&S Committees, Teams, Programs or Events â€¢ Work closely with the Site EHS&S Representative to ensure the facility is in full compliance with operating permits. â€¢ Assist with monitoring progress of action plans, incidents, corrective action, equipment evaluations and associates and public complaints. â€¢ Assist Contractors supervision. â€¢ Assist with the evaluation, planning and implementation of appropriate EHS&S program components; under direct level of supervision, assist with projects requiring basic knowledge of EHS&S to the identification of potential risk to conduct analysis of the level of risk to the implementation of appropriate control measures in the area. â€¢ Responsible for organizing and coordinating the Site's Recycling, Hazardous & Non-Hazardous Waste programs. Including day-to-day coordinating collection, storage, pick-ups and disposal of wastes to J&J approved TSD facilities. â€¢ Documents all recycling, hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities and provides required updated reports to the Site EHS&S Representative. â€¢ Conducts inspections to identify EHS&S issues in the facility... â€¢ Responsible for conducting required inspections of hazardous waste installations, biohazard waste installations, cafeteria and outside perimeter to ensure EHS&S compliance with regulations. â€¢ Work with the Site EHS&S Representative to support the development and implementation of program to achieve J&J EHS&S Goals. â€¢ Assist in writing and updating policies, procedures, documents and forms of the EHS&S system through the document control system. â€¢ Assist in the evaluation of equipment, task, process, workstations, office and manufacturing environment to identified EHS&S or ergonomic issues to address through an action plan. â€¢ Assist in office tasks such as filling, printing, generating purchase requisitions, getting quotes, handling vendors, recordkeeping etc. â€¢ Works closely with the Emergency Response Teams as well as other Teams to offer leadership and support in developing training exercises. â€¢ Assists the Site EHS&S Representative in providing proper EHS&S awareness training to new/temporary EES associates and contractors. â€¢ Follow J&J and EES Records Management Policies for Convenience Information, Records Retention Schedules, Training and Education, Document Hold Notices, Records Cleanout, Inactive Records and Information Management, Vital Records and third party vendor if applicable. â€¢ Assist the Site EHS&S Representative with the development and implementation of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System & MAARS program at the facility Reporting to: EHS&S Manager Qualifications Requirements and Education: â€¢ Pursuing a Bachelor Degree (Preferred) â€¢ Approximate experience, or equivalent knowledge and skills, necessary to satisfactorily perform the position responsibilities. â€¢ 2 to 4 years experience in related fields.
