Industry Technology Specialist in Energy/Manufacturing&Industry - Intel (Mexico City, DIF)
- Strong technology background on Data Center technologies/architectures including server, networking, storage and facilities related infrastructure • Ability to design and architect Internet-based infrastructure designs including private, semi-private, and public cloud infrastructures • Knowledge of Internet and cloud hosting approaches including virtualization, containers, orchestration, service management, and provisioning• Strong background on various storage approaches including JBOD, NAS, SAN, iSCSI, and various storage fabrics deployed in cloud and internet based architecture deployments• Background in scale-out server deployments in cloud service data centers and the ability to distinguish between 1S, 2S and multi-socket approaches for optimal TCO• Must be able to describe complex technology solutions in business terms and demonstrate business value to customers • Understand enterprise solutions, corporate IT, Intel (R) architecture and competitive solutions • Should be able to think as an entrepreneur and envision next generation approach to business issues, and capable of working multiple angles to a solution, including partnerships, providers, and stakeholders • Ability to articulate Intel's hardware, software, and solutions strategies and roadmap. • Ability to articulate Intel's hardware, software, and solutions strategies and roadmap for Cloud, Storage/Memory, Client and IoT.
This is a commissioned sales position responsible for technically evangelizing and winning the client, server and infrastructure architectures in Energy vertical by offering compelling and cohesive technical solutions based on Intel products and platforms. The primary engagement is at an early stage of an end-user project cycle or an OEM design cycle and supports the efforts of the direct or indirect sales team. This position builds relationships with key account executives and becomes their technology advisor through understanding their business and technical problems, and demonstrating how these can be solved through the use of Intel-based products and solutions. Additionally this position: leads the technical pre-sales phase engaging with the end customer or the OEM technical leaders to drive awareness and early adoption of new Intel technologies, platforms and products; provides training for the Technical Sales Force of fellow travelers in country organizations (MNCs, OEMs, ISVs, SIs etc.) on latest IA Technologies in order to scale our technical messaging; creates excitement and demonstrates the value of the new technology through technical conferences and presentations (including the press); and may be involved with collaborative project work for trials or proof of concepts. As an Energy Industry Technology Specialist (ITS), you’ll be an integral part of the local Industry Sales Group, partnering with Account Executives to drive preference for Intel Architecture (IA) within Mexico. Minimum Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical knowledge• 5+ years of experience in engineering or applications support, preferably with Intel Architecture CPUs, boards and/or systems.
